Dogs Are At Least 4-Lingual

They’re masters at understanding visual – as well as non-visual energetic – body language, emotional language, ‘medical’ language, and of course, plain English or whatever tongue we happen to speak in.

The energy behind each word we speak is worth a thousand words to our canines, a valid reason to brush up on our ‘English’ and tune-in and feel more than what we think we are communicating.

Unlike us, dogs haven’t forgotten that they’re natural pros at  animal – human and non-human – communication. Their complete, embodied awareness inspires me to demonstrate this in my animal communication work.

Watch what you say: Big brother, your little Chichaua, is listening. S/he probably understands what you say better than you.

Through the Eyes of Your Animals

Your animals have a lot to say about you. After all, their eyes are windows to your soul. Your beauty is clearly reflected in them.

And vice versa.

Yes, there might also be some pain and fear in those eyes.

If there is, wouldn’t you like to see less of that?

That’s where an animal communication session with me comes in.

With insights from your magnificently wise animals, I facilitate an exquisite change in you. Change in your animals.

Change in your world.

Because ‘what the world needs more of, is love.’ Sweet, fearless,
life-enhancing love.

Animal Communication: It’s Not Just About Your Pets

Animal communication is often about you. But you already know that.

Your animals feel you. They want you to feel them.

How? By being more like the animal you are born to be:  present in your body,  in your mind, in your heart…like an animal.

Like your pets, your body is always sending out and receiving signals.

Why not tune into the conversation, and feel what’s going on?

What have you got to gain?

Better health. More joy. More clarity. More awareness. More loving
relationships. More Peace. And so on, and so on. All the good stuff we
humans want more of.

What have you got to lose when you’re more present like an animal?

Stress. Confusion. Boredom. Exhaustion.

Animal communication is not just about talks with pets; it’s about being wholly human.

What NOT to do Re: Missing Pets

Animal communication clients who call me about missing pets are in a
state of panic. It’s natural to feel intense pain when you think you’ll never
see your pet again, or that s/he might be trapped in a horrible hand of fate.

Panic constricts us from connecting to our inner knowing and peace of mind.

Losing our conscious connection to our true selves blocks us from feeling
connected to our missing pets. Consequently, your pet, wherever s/he may be, ceases to feel a connection to you. Animal instincts, both your own and your pet’s, are stifled by the panic you unwittingly signal out to them.

The first step I take when a frantic client call me, is to urge them to breathe
deeply through their fearful thoughts into that place of peace and trust within their hearts. With static fear out of the way, we can then begin to communicate with their animal.

A feeling of peace and trust creates an openness in you – a clear space that
breathes life into the bond between you and your lost pet, consequently
providing a pathway of inviting energy for your pet to return home.

How Animal Communication is a Spiritual Experience

With due respect to all faiths and religions, the process of communicating with animals – animal communication – is the same as if you were to talk to God, including possibly needing to get down on your knees with your pet.

Once you are in a comfortable position without any distractions, you quiet your mind. You breathe deep down through your chest, your heart center. You begin to feel at peace, and connected to the Beauty within all Life.

You feel the energetic heart-to-heart connection between you and God, in this case, your pet.

You say what you need to say to this beautiful Being of Light. You ask
him or her a question silently in your mind.

You breathe through the moment allowing the answer space to pop into your mind as a thought, or into your heart as an emotion, or into your body as a feeling, a deep knowing.

As an animal communicator by profession, I get to have a spiritual
experience every hour of my animal communication work.

You get to have the experience right now with your pets.

Most Essential Way to Ease Our Pets’ ‘End-of-Life’ Transition

The thought of losing a dying pet is excruciating. We project unbearable
grief and pity into those beautiful eyes staring back at us, with life still
breathing through them.

Yet our pets’ end of life transition can be as nature designed: a deeply enriching adventure of letting go for both us and our pets.

We need to stop projecting pain, for our pets’ sake, and for our own.

When we intend to look, instead, with love – not longing, not pity, not pain –
into those eyes – we feel, and so does your pet, the memory of the joyful moments we shared, and might still share, together.

Feeling the joy that binds us instantly dissolves the suffering that separates
us, allowing our pets to naturally feel more at peace in their transitions.

My years of experience in working with clients as a spirit medium and animal communicator tell me that death is a mere shedding of one’s body to travel lighter on the never ending adventure called, “Life.”

When not to Bark Back at Your Barking Dog

If your barking dog seems to be ‘barking at nothing’ or just talking to a neighbor’s dog in the distance, ask your dog in a nice way, to stop barking. It’s that simple.

Feeling frustrated and yelling at your dog to shut up will only amp up your
dog’s barking in response to your excitation.

Urging your dog in the same kind way you would ask someone next to you in a theater, to stop talking, will keep the offender’s self-esteem in tact, as well as yielding your desired result.

Animals shouldn’t have to feel shamed anymore than we should.

Non-violent communication with animals is as effective on their behavior as compassionate communication is with humans. It works with my clients’ dogs.
It works with my canine friend. It works with me.

Human Spirit?

A friend was telling me how great he thinks the human spirit is in reference to the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.

It’s amazing how amazed people are when they see how people, after suffering horrific trauma, eventually feel reborn – empowered – with the help of millions of their own species supporting and nourishing them emotionally, physically, and psychologically.

Omnipresent Beauty is a force of nature, and must naturally surface from the depths of despair on the backs of those humans forced through circumstances to dive deep enough to find it, whether or not human aid is available to them.

Human animals are the only species who, in time, discover this pervading source of enrichment because humans are the only animal species who somewhere along life’s timeline, were dumb enough to lose our connection to it in favor of our highly self-esteemed egos.

All one need do is take our self-centered eyes off our own species for a moment to praise, instead, for example, the baby elephant orphan who naturally accesses within himself the strength to persevere through the aftershock of witnessing his mom and whole family brutally slashed and slaughtered right before his eyes; right before he is snatched up from his magnificent wild home, snuffed into a steel cage, isolated in the deafening noise of a rumbling jet plane for endless hours, and finally crammed into a zoo or circus prison – forever cutoff from any hope of recovering his natural life…rendered on the sacrificial alter of the ‘human spirit’
balking at him for the rest of his dwarfed existence.

Keep pumping ourselves up about how great we humans are, but the fact is,
we lost heart as a species eons ago the moment we scrunched our animal spirit inside the heinous human treatment of our Mother Earth and Her entire glorious family.

PBS’ flickering “Human Spark”

Narrator Alan Alda, makes a feeble attempt to make us feel good about defiling the world in the recent PSB video, “The Human Spark” that shows us we have two brain functions–insight and imagination–that separate us from
(other)animals.Wrong. I know many non-human animals with insight and
imagination capabilities equal to, if not superior to ours.

The PBS video is an insult to our innate animal intelligence. It’s a ‘there, there’
pat of reassurance on the human back that yes, we massacred the world, but
what the hell, feel proud, we can still bask in self-delusion by continuing to
‘prove’ we are the best creatures on earth.

Natural versus normal connection

David Schwartz of WPKN in Connecticut interviewed me on the radio last
night regarding my new book, LIKE an ANIMAL: When Being Human is not Enough.

In the book I mention that at age four, I turned my attention from
a “normal life” to relate more to animals. The radio host interpreted this
as a very painful turning point for me. Not at all. I simply realized that
humans, in our ego-protective pretenses and lies, seldom act like the noble
animals we are cut out to be. And so I decided at an early age to choose the
company of species more open, more honest, hence, more relevant to any
child who by nature is open and honest as the animal s/he is born to be.

If you are reading this blog, I don’t have to tell you that we suffer most
when we lose a dearly beloved ‘pet’ – than when we lose a parent or sibling
or friend or lover – simply because our connections with pets go so much
deeper due to the fact there are no cover-ups between us. Only a pure,
unadulterated, full-bodied heart-to-heart, mind-to-mind, awareness.
